Are You or Someone You Know Looking For Employment?

One good way to combat crime is by creating jobs or having positions available for citizens. The City of Shreveport has some great job opportunities and the changes our city needs most, it starts by working TOGETHER!

QUEENSBOROUGH'S MEETING WITH MAYOR ADRIAN PERKINS AND THE CITY OF SHREVEPORT WAS IMPRESSIVE.

Neighbors turned out to express plans and ideas to restore the Queen at the Bilberry Park Listening Session

There was a very nice turnout of neighbors in attendance at Bilberry Park this evening for the City Funding Priorities Listening Session. Thanks to Mayor Adrian Perkins, all of the Panel from the City of Shreveport, and their Associates, for taking time to listen to the hearts, ideas and concerns of Queensborough residents. The Queensborough Neighborhood Association would like to commend all the residents who spoke tonight and came prepared with innovative ideas and plans to better our community. One resident didn't have the statistical numbers concerning area Parks acreage in comparison to Bilberry Park. Right before she ended her proposal, the facts were sent to her so she left no stone unturned. She came prepared with everything she needed to present a plan for a better Queensborough. She was ready for anything that may have been asked of her, she really loves her community. We encourage you to continue to invest the time you took to research, articulate beautifully your desires for a better community for every citizen, and your passion for your neighborhood to be restored. We loved to see people standing together to speak up for changes that we'd like to see and neighbors even spoke of paying someone to cut her neighbors yard to curb rodent and pest issues, now that's neighbors loving their neighbors as themselves. Commissioner Roy Burrell along with others, made pleas for the Neighborhood Association to be assisted in being revived to give Queensborough a collective voice with representation to see a complete turn around in area conditions and empower a community that showed us tonight they're going forward and not turning back. We'd like to thank everyone in attendance again and Cammy and Tammy Wright along with those who provided refreshments and were so cordial to everyone who walked in
