You'll never know how wonderful, educated, special, or needed a person is until you sit down and talk to them. I leaned a lot about my neighbors yet we have more in common than we know. It's time for Queensborough to no only be know for great things but it's also time for us to get to know one another a little better. We can't make changes alone but we can do so much more together.

We'll keep you posted on upcoming clean up initiatives in the near future. If you have a lot or areas around abandoned houses that needs to be cleared, need to have large items that have been left or just want to see a clean up done in your area, submit your info and a short description so we can work together to get Queensborough in shape.
Several neighbors in the Queesnborough neighborhood gathered together in efforts to complete an improvised lot clean up at the corner of Alabama St. and Fredrick St. They concerted the plan to clean up a lot on the corner that hasn't been tended to for quite some time. Queensborough partnered with ONR or Operation Neighborhood Reinforcement to select Team Captains to begin a Community First Response Team in that section for a few blocks in hopes to curb crime, encourage community development and to be able to connect residents to the necessary help they need to make Queensborough a place worthy to be called home. There were refreshments, delightful and delectable barbecue prepared by Mrs. Debra Cain and I tell you her ribs had me talking to myself wondering how did she get them to taste Sooooo good!! We were able to conduct surveys to get an in-depth understanding of the residents needs and concerns for Queensborough's future and we would like to thank all who were in attendance, planned this event, and stepped up to the plate to ensure we make and keep Queensborough a place fit for Kings and Queens.
